I purchased this great telescope 2 years ago when they first came out. With its excellent optics I did a star test which was almost perfect, with just slight under correction. I found very little false color when viewing the moon. This TeleVue Telescope will stand up to several other telescopes in this price range due to its excellent optics.

Televue Telescope 85mm

There was good definition on Saturn and Jupiter, both showing subdued color. Deep sky views were excellent, I scanned many of my favorite objects. First up was M27 (Dumbbell Nebula) which was stunning with this TeleVue telescope, it showed sharp and detailed structure. I also viewed M8 (Lagoon Nebula), M20 (Trifid Nebula) and M31 (Andromeda Galaxy) all with very good results.

This type of telescope makes you proud to own one, this telescope has a very large and happy following. You will not see any bad reviews on this TeleVue telescope. It is super portable and easy to set up. I have found people will use a telescope of this type a lot more than they would a large heavy scope that requires time to set up.
